A Month long JOURNEY with MOTHER MARY

Be devoted to Mary Most Holy: Frequently call on Her. Never was it known that anyone who trustingly has recourse to Her was not promptly heard - Don Bosco

Ramanthapur Aug. 15: We as the Salesian community of Don Bosco Navajeevan, Ramanthapur began our month long journey of Marain devotion on 16th July 2015 with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist followed by inauguration the Marian tournament and concluded with short cultural programme on 15th August 2015. Mother Mary was a treasure given to us by Don Bosco, our father and founder.

Starting from the day of inau guration i.e., 16th July 2015 until the conclusion i.e., 15th August 2015 of the Marian month children showed lot of devotion in participating in the events of Marian month. All the children were divided into four groups Marian groups, namely, Fathima Matha, Gunadala Matha, Sahaya Matha and Lourdu Matha. The month which helped the children to bring out their talents and to learn many new things by participating in various activities. Prior to this brothers and volunteers planned the month’s programme meticulously of every event and created interest inculcating in them the role of Mary in our life as Salesians and boys.

Important events of Marian month were like Olympic Marian Tourn ament, Marian night, drawing competition, dance Competition and singing competition and these are the things which brought lot of enthusiasm and energy in them to take part. The Highlight of this year’s Marian month was the celebration of the Marian Night on 12th August 2015. The whole evening was coloured with Marian devotions. Varieties of competitions were added to the programme. We were reminded that "Every child who came to the oratory is brought by Mother Mary"

We gave grand finale to Marian Month by well animated Holy Eucharistic celebration and the short prayer service in honour of Mary. After which the fathers gave away the gifts to the winners of the Marian month.
